Our Mission
Continues
on Long Island

We mobilized nationally. Now we're bringing that power home. Local elections decide our schools, communities our safety, our future.

Our New Focus: Long Island

We showed up. We organized. We made our presence undeniable.

The national election showed us something powerful: when Black voters mobilize, we move mountains. We built infrastructure. We registered hundreads. We proved our strength.

Now we're bringing that energy home to Long Island.

While Washington grabs the headlines, the decisions that shape your daily reality are being made right here in Nassau and Suffolk County. In school board rooms. In town council chambers. By officials most people have never heard of.

And that's exactly why we have an opportunity.

Local elections are decided by hundreds of votes—sometimes less. Which means a focused, organized Black voting bloc doesn't just participate. We decide outcomes.

Here's what's actually at stake:

  • School boards - They control education quality, school safety, and how your tax dollars are spent

  • Town supervisors - They approve development projects, zoning changes, and local services in your community

  • County legislature - They oversee public safety, health services, and manage taxpayer funds

  • Judicial positions - They determine how justice is administered and how the legal system operates in your community

These aren't abstract positions. These people determine whether your kid's school gets resources. Whether your streets are safe. Whether your family can afford to stay on Long Island.

The national stage taught us our power. Now let's use it where we live.

This is where our votes don't just count—they dominate. This is where we build the political infrastructure that protects our community for the long haul.

Long Island, we're not done.

We're just getting started.
